Robotic
vacuum cleaner
I think it is so tedious and troublesome to weep
the floor daily for almost everyone, but we all want to live in clean places.
So lazy but intelligent people have designed a robotic vacuum cleaner to sweep
the floors. People may be unfamiliar with robotic vacuum cleaner. So, I will
introduce robotic vacuum cleaner in the following article.
A robotic vacuum cleaner has intelligent
programming and a vacuum cleaning system. Unlike conventional vacuum cleaners,
robotic vacuums are smart and autonomous and perform two essential functions –
navigation and cleaning. Navigation of the robot vacuum cleaner is controlled by the
robot’s motherboard, which is also known as the brain, and various sensors.
Robotic vacuum cleaner uses iRobot's Aware™ Robotic Intelligence System to determine its actions, so it require have minimal human. It also use sensors to get environmental data and send it
to robot's microprocessor and alter cleaner’s actions accordingly.
Built in laser scanner that scan the room,
robotic vacuum cleaner will save a map for that room in its memory so next
time the job will be faster and easier. Later, if any changes happen in
that room, then all what it has to do is to update the map with these changes
only. There are two dirt sensors located above its agitator brush. When the agitator finds out enough amount of dirt, the dirt will cause more vibration when it hits the metal
plates of the sensors. The sensors detect that increase and tell robotic vacuum
cleaner to go over the area again.
Of course, it can’t function
without a programming. The program is the basic of the robotic vacuum cleaner.
It assigns the goal for cleaner and guides its every single step in cleaning.
Therefore, we should learn more about programing that we are able to design
more practical robots for human beings.
